Washington School has reverted back to normal arrival and dismissal procedures. Families will drop off and pick up students at your teachers selected entrance to the building. For safety and security of our students and staff, all visitors will need to access the office on the west side of the building to enter Washington School. Thank you for adhering to the parking lot designations. Our main objective is to keep students safe during arrival and dismissal. We appreciate your patience.

Great news Washington Families! Today will be the last day our parking lot will be closed off for families. On Monday, you will be able to access most of the parking lot for your convenience (except the southwest corner). We still need to install the fence for safety concerns. The construction crews are making a lot of progress lately. The parking lot will likely be completed this week. They will be painting the lines very soon. Families will continue to utilize parking on the streets adjacent to Washington School until further notice. Please be mindful and not park in our neighbors' driveways. Again, our main objective is to keep you informed and everyone safe during arrival and dismissal. We appreciate your patience.

The construction crew is going to mill our parking lot to get it ready for completion. The parking lot will be completely closed off next week from Tuesday through Friday. We will all need to utilize parking, including staff and our school buses, on the streets adjacent to Washington School until further notice. Abend will have a section closed off by cones for those buses. Please do not park there. Again, our main objective is to keep you informed and everyone safe during arrival and dismissal. We appreciate your patience.

I'd like to thank our Washington families and staff for a wonderful first morning. We very much appreciate your understanding and cooperation during our construction. Upon dismissal, families will again enter the building and meet your student in the classroom. Our doors will open at 10:55 this morning. The afternoon classes will use the same schedule later today. Doors will open at 12:00 for student arrival and 2:25 for dismissal. Most families accessed our playground before student arrival and it worked well. I would anticipate this schedule for the week ahead. I will keep you posted as we proceed through the construction of the parking lot. Thanks again for your patience.
