WOW, JAGUARS! We showed up in a BIG way for our community! As part of the Drive Away Hunger Campaign, our classrooms did some incredible work, collecting an amazing 469 items for those in need! Mrs. Sparks’ 5th Grade Class wrote persuasive essays about their favorite restaurant. Anthony Murray wrote his essay about Taco Bell. The Taco Bell staff was so amazed with Anthony’s essay that they wanted to reward him and his classmates with tacos, cupcakes, and a goodie bag! Anthony also received an awesome gift box filled with Taco Bell merchandise!!!

Our Jefferson Jaguars are shining inside and out!✨✨✨ We had an incredible time at our second annual Glow Party. And today we celebrated all of our students who showcased positive behavior for the third quarter at our club 6-7 party! 🩷💚🧡 Shoutout to DJ Rickert for keeping the energy going! Thank you to Extraordinary Ballon's for our fabulous balloon backdrop. And to our Jefferson staff for all of their hard work!

Our 5th graders had an amazing day exploring and learning at the Science Center! 🔬 They enjoyed hands-on exhibits, exciting discoveries, and bringing science to life outside the classroom. What a fun and educational field trip!

Our Jaguars were engaged, laughing, and learning all about the importance of: Brushing our teeth 🪥 Flossing every day Building healthy habits that keep our smiles bright Thank you to the Delta Dental team for bringing this awesome experience to Jefferson today. 😁🐾

✨ LEGO Club at Jefferson ✨ Earlier this week, we held the very first meeting of our brand-new LEGO Club at Jefferson! Our students had an amazing time exploring, creating, innovating, and working together as a team. It was great to see so much creativity and collaboration in action, and we’re so excited to see what our Jaguars build next!

We’re looking for a dedicated Permanent Substitute Teacher to join the team! Able to start as soon as the district employment process reaches completion.

Requirements:
Professional Educator License (PEL), Substitute Teacher License (SUB), or Short-Term Substitute Teacher License (STS)
SUB License: bachelor’s degree, valid 5 years, renewable
STS License: associate’s degree or 60 college credit hours, valid until 6/30/2028

Details:
$135/day
Would report to Jefferson every day, with occasional coverage at other District 118 schools if needed

There’s nothing sweeter than a day of fun at Jefferson Elementary! 💌 Our students celebrated Valentine’s Day with smiles, friendship, and lots of excitement.

Our 6th graders took advantage of this beautiful weather and headed outdoors to dive deeper into our Weather and Climate Unit. There’s no better classroom than the world around us! 🌎
