🎶✨ What an INCREDIBLE performance! ✨🎶 The District 118 band and concert choir put on an outstanding performance for our Jaguars! It was especially exciting to see some of our former Jefferson Jaguars, now at the junior high, return to perform for our current Jaguars. What a powerful full-circle moment and a great inspiration for our students! 🐾

🎄✨ Holiday Doors ✨🎄 As we approach Winter Break, we’ve been soaking up all the fun and festive holiday celebrations happening around Jefferson! Our students and staff worked together to create creative, festive, and fun doors that helped transform the halls of Jefferson into a joyful space for everyone this season!❤️🎨

🎶✨ Yet another incredible performance by our District 118 Band! ✨🎶 Our 4th–6th grade Jaguars put on a fantastic sing-along concert filled with holiday classics that brought so much joy to our school! 🎄🎺 The energy was contagious, and even our Jaguars who aren’t in band couldn’t help but join in—singing along and spreading holiday cheer all around. We are so proud of our talented musicians and thankful for the festive spirit they shared with our entire school community! 🐾

✨📜 Ancient Egypt Comes to Life in 6th Grade! 📜✨

Our 6th graders have been busy traveling back in time! 🐫🏺 Students created hands-on Ancient Egypt projects, bringing history to life with incredible creativity. From detailed pyramids to colorful sarcophagi, intricate canopic jars, and so much more — each project shows the effort, imagination, and learning that went into understanding this fascinating civilization.

We are so proud of their hard work and love seeing history come alive outside of the textbook! 🌍👏

6th Grade West Jr High Bowling Opportunity Attention 6th grade students and families! Tryouts for the West Jr High Bowling team are coming up soon! Incoming 6th grade students are permitted to try out. Below are the tryout dates and times: January 7th & 8th @ Bel-Air Bowl Jan 7th: 3:10-5:00 Jan 8th: 4:00-5:30 Please be reminded that each student must be registered and have a current physical on file with your attending school before participating in the tryout. No student will be permitted to try out without a current physical. You may bring an updated copy of the physical to the tryout dates. It is also highly recommended to attend both days of tryouts. What an incredible performance by Ms. Gray’s 5th grade class! 🌸🎭 While working through our ELA curriculum, they were inspired to do the play “The Miracle of Spring”! Earlier this year, their 2nd grade Paw Pals invited them to a play in the gym, and they wanted to return the favor — and they definitely delivered! They used their own time to bring the entire production to life… creating the cast, sets, props, and everything in between. What a wonderful performance and a beautiful example of creativity and collaboration!

🌟 WOW, JAGUARS! 🌟 What an absolutely incredible Jefferson Annual Food Drive! Our Jaguars crushed school records and came together to donate a total of 1,686 items — that’s 1,317 pounds of food! 🥫 This service-learning project was a powerful example of how we continue to live out our belonging message by giving back to our community. For November’s Acts of Service, our students helped support the Community Interfaith Food Pantry, making a meaningful impact for families in need! And talk about competition! 🏆 A huge congratulations to Ms. Bullock's 6th grade class for taking 1st place, and Ms. Gray’s 5th grade class for earning 2nd place! Way to go, Jaguars! Thank you for showing what kindness, teamwork, and community spirit look like. You made a difference!
