Several Girl Scout troops from the Belleville/Swansea Service Unit 207 worked together to build a Little Free Library for Douglas Elementary School at an event called "The House she Built." Building the library was just one of the many activities the girls participated in to learn more about the world of construction. Thank you to everyone involved with this project!

Please join us in congratulating 6th grader, Anna Bernardini, who was recognized as our Douglas School Student of the Year at today's Illinois Principal Association's Student Recognition Breakfast. Her hard work and amazing character made her an obvious choice, and we couldn't be more proud of the way she represents herself, her class, and our school each and every school day. Congratulations, Tiger! Keep up the great work!
