Calling all 5th & 6th grade boys and girls! Basketball season is right around the corner, and we have a FREE basketball clinic followed by Central Jr. High tryouts!

The clinic is FREE for all students and will feature the Belleville West High School basketball teams!

Students in Mrs. Scheibel’s 1st grade class enjoyed a visit from Cahokia Heights Chief of Police, Dr. Thomas Trice, this afternoon. First graders are currently learning about communities, and Dr. Trice spoke to them about the important role police play in our communities. It was quite an honor to have him visit today and answer so many student questions. Thank you, Dr. Trice! 🐯

In honor of Black History Month, our Douglas School 5th grade students hosted an interactive wax museum for our students and staff. Each presentation focused on an influential member of the black community, and was very well researched and presented. Thank you all for providing us with this engaging and entertaining learning opportunity! 🐯
