We are sending a huge congratulations and job well done to Averi for receiving the Illinois Principal Association Student Award Recognition at a ceremony this morning. Averi was selected for her outstanding character, hard work, strong academics, involvement in school, and for including all Raiders in our community. We are incredibly proud of you! Keep shining!💙

Outdoor classrooms are awesome when the weather is nice, but the wind does not help! These Raiders soaked up the sun and held on to work! Hopefully we get some sunny days with no wind so we can head outdoors again!☀️💨💻
Our 7th Grade Math students are all very "egg-cited" over these egg puzzles while practicing area and perimeter! And sometimes you have to have Math Class outside when it's this nice! Go Raiders!💙

This week's "Feel Good Friday" is a shoutout to all of our Raiders who tested and showed their perseverance throughout this week. Mrs. Book Lindsay's class finished their testing by working out a mystery!
We also want to send a special shoutout to our Students of the Month Avery and Amelia! We are so proud of you!
We are "working it out" on this state test! After our morning session some students took a break out and did some yoga to help our minds and bodies relax! 🧘🧘🏾♀️☮️😌 Keep it up tomorrow Raiders!

This week's "Feel Good Friday" continues to be a shoutout to our speakers from Career Day and our Raider Community that continues to give back.
8th grade ELA hosted former students from SWIC, and attorney Ja’Mecia Laws; she attended Westhaven, Central 2011, Belleville West, University or Arkansas at Pine Bluff and Washington University School of Law! Currently working for a St. Louis plaintiff’s firm.
While presenting on college choices, which included HCBU’s and work ethic to make goals achievable, our students and staff appreciate the time our speakers took to encourage and inform our current students.

Thank you to everyone who came out for STEM Night! It was so much fun learning about animals and playing games! The spaghetti dinner was much appreciated!
This week's "Feel Good Friday" is a shoutout to our 8th graders who worked to develop ideas and write 4-5 minutes speeches, on “The Optimism Within Me,” to compete in the local Oratorical Contest sponsored by the Belleville Optimist Club. Our students worked independently and with their teachers, practicing and presenting to various classes to prepare. Excellent representation by amazing students exhibiting the Raider Way. We are so proud of you! 💙🎤💭
