Picture of school principal

Henry Raab Families,

I'd like to introduce myself.  My name is Mr. Jamerson (Jamey) McCloskey and I will be the new principal of Washington School.  This will be my 27th year in education.  I hold an Illinois teaching license in early childhood education, in addition to my administrative license.  I spent ten years in the classroom teaching kindergarten and second grade.  This is my 16th year in Belleville School District 118 where I served as principal at Jefferson for the past 13 years.

My wife Jackie and I have been married for 26 years.  We have three sons named Jake (23), Jack (20) & James (16).  We have lived in Belleville since our wedding.  I enjoy just about everything to do with the outdoors.  In my spare time I enjoy hunting, fishing, off-roading, watersports and anything related to the southwestern U.S.

I am extremely grateful and excited to continue my career at Henry Raab School.  I look forward to seeing all of the kiddos here in the near future.

Sincerely,

Mr. M.
