Ms. Knapp's class has been busy. First they had a complex sentence race. Then they went to visit their 1st grade buddies in Ms. Perez's class. They got to taste 3 different types of apples, talk about the differences, and vote on which apple is their favorite. Also, a 6th Grade All Star came to read to the 1st grade class last week because that is what she chose as her Dojo prize! Keep shining All Stars!🌟

Also congrats to 4th grade and Kindergarten for winning our Recess Competition! They worked so hard to be in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing so they got to enjoy some ice cream! Keep shining bright All Stars!🌟🍦

Today Officer Weatherby came by Mrs. Dunivan's class today and talked to the students about what they are reading. The students also wrote thank you letters to the firefighters to send to the fire station. It was great community outreach today! 😊 We make our community better together! 🌟💙

Mrs. Yates class showed us food and Math go together really well by making line plots with fruit loops, and yes they got to eat them after!🌟

Mobile Market is the 3rd Thursday of each month.

We started off the week right with many of our All Stars doing excellent in our "Recess Competition." Aniya and Kortlyn were the #AllStarCall for playing well, being responsible in the hallways, and working hard in class! Great work ladies, and let's keep it up All Stars!

The window to schedule Parent/Teacher Conferences is open. Please refer to communications sent home, to schedule your child's conference.

This week's "Feel Good Friday" is a shoutout to helping our students grow mind, body, and soul! In Mr. E's 6th grade PE class they completed the sit-up and push up test along with the running pacer test. During recess some students make creative drawings. In Art, 5th grade students got to create their own sneaker. We also do class circles. In Mrs. Hisel's 4th grade class we had a morning meeting about our emotions and controlling them. We also had some fun in Ms. Schaefers 4th grade class after they made a goal for social emotional learning and met their goal! We want our All Stars to be well rounded! Keep shining!

These 4th Grade Scientists in Mrs. E's class had a great learning experience during this lava experiment!

Enjoy your day off All Stars!

Tonight's basketball clinic was a huge success! We are so excited for our All Stars! We had a lot of them there🌟A huge thank you to our Athletic Director Tim Baum, 118 alumni teacher Coach Lugge, and the Belleville West Basketball Team. They were great! We love when our students have role models to show them the way!

Abraham Lincoln ubderwent a beautiful restoration over the summer! Our community partners went above abs beyond to make sure that it looked beautiful. New floors, paint, hallway structures, and lighting fixtures. For custodial appreciation we want to shout out the team who keeps it shining bright every day! Mark, Ken, and Clayton we appreciate all that you do on a daily! Our All Stars take pride in our school and your hard work does not go unnoticed!

On Friday the Belleville Fire Department spoke to our students about fire prevention and safety. 2nd and 4th grade also got to go through the smoke house! Our students knew a lot of the answers and are prepared at school. Does your family have an escape plan and meeting place at home?
